The Banjo & Fiddle Festival

We've been having so much fun the past few weekends, we haven't had much time for posting! Here are some pictures from the "Topanga" Banjo & Fiddle Festival, which is actually now held in Agoura Canyon on part of the old Rennaisance Faire site. Awww, nostalgia. Anyway, here are some pictures. We were very lucky that our friends Josh and Adrienne and Lorelei were able to come with us. Finn and Lorelei have literally been friends since the day Lorelei was born.

Patrick and his boys enjoying the music.

Finn practicing his picture taking skills. Not bad, huh?

Here he is striking a very Peter Pan-esque pose.

Josh and Adrienne! Josh has been working on a film in Utah for quite a while, so it was really nice to get to see all of the Lusbys last weekend.
I borrowed my mom's pretty pink hat and Lorelei's pretty pink parasol. Jack and I felt very pretty in pink for the day.

The music on the main stage at the banjo & fiddle festival is good, but our favorite part of the festival is stumbling into all of the amazing wandering musicians. It's hard to capture in a picture, but there are literally hundreds of truly wonderful musicians playing in small group all around the festival.
These two guys sounded great and definitely looked the part.

Our plot to get both the boys playing fiddle is clearly underway. If nothing else, they love listening to the music.

It's funny how some of these photos could easily be in the Ren Faire post!

Great hat, Em!

We hit the Renaissance Fair every year, although ours is held in the fall. The kids LOVE it. Fune time to escape the world!
