Moonstruck

We started out our Cinco de Mayo/Super Moon Saturday celebration with a visit to the trains and the horses with Finn and Jack and Scarlett.  The kids had a great time.
It turned out that several of the employees at the Pony Rides were former students of Patrick's. They let the kids go around twice - woo-hoo!
Later in the evening, Patrick and I got to go out for a lovely dinner - thank you to Julie and Thor for watching the boys for us!  Afterwards, we picked up the guys and ran quickly over to Kei and Duy and Hana and Juna's house for some super moon action. Here's the moon on the drive over to their house.
This was our attempt at an LA moon shot, but as you can see, it proved to be a bit much for our poor little camera.  The moon DID look really pretty through the palm trees, though.
Ta-da! The super moon shot through Duy's telescope.  Thank you so much for inviting us over guys, it was really fun to see the moon so clearly.
 Another super moon telescope shot.
And finally, a super moon shot stolen from the Huffington Post.  They are doing a great post tonight where people can send their super moon pictures in from all over the world.  This one was taken in front of the Eiffel Tower.  C'est romantique!  Happy star gazing to everyone tonight.
