Reopen!!!

Please to click on the new song on the jukebox (the last one down). I believe that this song perfectly proves my point. Or Eric's. I'm not sure which. But happy upcoming Valentine's Day to everyone, and especially to my love Em!!!

Speaking of influences, this photo happens to include three things you turned me onto: Borges, Doonsbury, and Illuminatus (Miranda Carnovsky turned me on to Keats). Which reminds me: Have you read any John Hodgman? He is an expert on Hobos. And everything else.
Favorite Magnetic Fields line:
"Why do we keep shrieking when we mean soft things? We should be whispering all the time."

No John Hodgman - any suggestions? And speaking of hobos - did you see Norm Macdonald on Conan a couple of nights ago? "If I had any money, you know what I would invest in now? People jumping off of buildings."

And man that whole freakin' song - "You won't be happy with me,
But give me one more chance
You won't be happy anyway" Damn him!!

Hodgman - Areas of My Expertise
"Sounds like a mountain range in love."

I think I'll start my own blog, but it will only exist in the comment section of your blog.
Perhaps I already have.
Been listening to your bottom-of-the-page jukebox most of the day whilst I work. "This Must Be the Place" just started. Sigh...
I was going to ridicule you for having DMB, but then remembered that I secretly like "Crash." Do not tell anybody. Although the magical chime thingy is just annoying. And the 'hike up your skirt a little more' line breaks the mood for me.
This is a bad day for me. I've admitted to liking both an ABBA and a Dave Mathews song. I hereby state that I like the Dead Kennedys more!
And the version of Both Sides Now is a testament to the importance of an arrangement. The original is great, but this version is right next door to "Wind Beneath My Wings" for treacly sentimentality.
And thanks - I hadn't hear the Son Volt song in far too long.
