Happy Beltane Eve/Walpurgisnacht to our pagan brothers and sisters! It can be a weird one (Adolph, meet Nyharlathotep), so take care and watch those fires – don’t be like Thoreau!
This reminds me of one time driving to a friend's farm house in Salisbury, England. Jamie said that we would drive past Stonehenge, so I got really excited to see that mac daddy of pagan monuments. When we drove past and I saw it, and saw that it was right by the freeway, and there's a fence around it now, and it was pretty small to be honest, I was ridiculously disappointed. It was like stepping into that Spinal Tap scene with the elves knocking them over. Oh well. I'm sure at Midsummer, at night, up close, in a cloak it would all be very cool.

Fire cleanses, purifies. It is the only thing that understands me. Fire...
