Has anyone else noticed a HUGE increase in the number of praying mantises around lately? It just seems so strange! I think that I saw maybe 2 in my first 39 years of life, and in the last year we've seen like 9 or 10. What up with that?
This beauty showed up yesterday & is hanging out on our screen next to me as I type. Yes, he (she?) is upside down, but I still think that he looks just like the one in A Bug's Life!
So is it just us?

There shouldn't be any at a public schools. I think agnostic mantises are okay, though.
